First Day of School

Here we go - the ones you've all been waiting for...or at least the Grandma's have been waiting for!

4th Grade and Kindergarten!

Walking with Daddy up front carrying all the school supplies and Thomas' friend Hudson who walked with us.

High Lakes!

Beck with his friend Sam.  Ready to learn.  Or play - whichever comes first!

In line to go to the playground - they went outside to learn the rules while the parents stayed in for orientation.  Then the kids stayed for half a day of kindergarten.  Friday begins full days!

Overall - great first days...  Beck said he didn't get recess so "I had no fun at all" but he can't wait for PE on Friday.  And he is pretty sure recess will be the best part of each day.

Beck has Mrs. Vincent, Thomas has Mrs. Dugan - same as last year!  Looking forward to so much fun this year....

Tamolitch Pool

On our way back from the wedding we took a detour - a 2.3 mile hike to Tamolitch Pool.  SSSOOOO beautiful!

We arrived at the trailhead just in time for lunch - fuel for the hike.

Beck and Katie

You want me to walk????

Chrissy & Beck - He was not super keen on walking the whole way...

Beck

The views of the river along the way were so beautiful.

Beck eventually wormed his way onto shoulders - we all passed him around.

So much better - I've been carried.

We arrived at the pool

The colors we amazing obviously.  I looked extremely inviting since it was so hot outside.

We hiked (slid) down to the pool only to discover it was FREEZING.  Not cold, but numbingly freezing.

Thomas found a huge stick to put int he water - only to have it bounce back out at him over and over again.

Beck wanted to get in once he saw Joey get in.  We (Joey) held him by his arms and dunked him in and out super fast.  Then Uncle Jake dunked him in head first - he loved it!

Very cold - but he really wanted to go in....never did though!

Awesome hike, awesome pool, fun company along the way!

Sara & Stephen's Wedding

Labor Day Weekend - Stephen & Sara's Wedding in Corvallis!

Waiting for the ceremony with Aunt Katie.

Thomas was thrilled there were cookies on each seat!

Post cookie sugar smile.....  I think he collected every single leftover cookie and ate them!  Mexican Wedding Balls!  MMMMM.

A favorite snack - perfect while we waited for dinner.

I think this is Daddy's coat - a little ways to go before it fits - no hurry.

Beck took a wrong turn in the garden and ended up with a headful of weird spiky weeds.  Luckily they all came out easily enough - just took some time.

Thomas loved the greenhouse at the gardens there.  So many cool looking plants inside!

The Christoferson/Boyer Clan.

Exploring the pond with Gramma.

I am sure Thomas found some critters down here.  He found a snake in the greenhouse!

Dinner with the family....

A lovely wedding and such fun to see and visit with everyone.

Do Whatever a Spider Can

This one may not be funny to you.... but I laughed for a long time when I found these...and since this blog is really for me :)  and of course those who think my children are the most amazing, funny, wonderful people to ever walk the earth..... I decided to share!

I was downloading movies from our flip camera the other day and came across this video....  clearly the babysitter was pre-occupied on her phone call in the background and the little man got ahold of the camera on his own.  There were actually 3 videos.... hilarious.

Got our class list and teacher today for kindergarten!  Mrs. Vincent better get ready!
